The science behind our natural
The aloe vera plant, easily recognizable by its triangular, fleshy leaves with serrated edges and yellow tubular flowers, has been used throughout centuries for its medicinal and beauty properties. The leaf extracts of this hardy succulent contains over 70 potentially active components including vitamins (A, C and E – effective antioxidants, and B12), minerals (necessary for proper functioning of various systems within metabolic pathways), enzymes (may help to reduce excessive inflammation when applied topically), fatty acids (plant steroids with anti-inflammatory properties), amino acids (which may be of benefit with anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties), lipids, and powerful antioxidant compounds (polyphenols), which help neutralize free radicals. Potential overall benefits may include increased moisturization, revitalization, and rehydration of the skin, reduced inflammation of skin conditions such as acne and eczema, and even an antiseptic effect
Green Tea Extract
Drinking green tea for its health, energy giving, and detoxing properties has taken place over many centuries, with the leaf extract being used as an active ingredient to form the basis of many beauty and medicinal soothing balms and potions. It contains a powerful antioxidant, EGCG (Epigallocatechin gallate), that fights DNA damage caused by UV rays and can act against signs of aging. Rich in polyphenols, it embraces both anti-inflammatory properties, which help reduce inflammation and soothe skin, and also may perform an antibacterial role helping to clear pores and ease acne. Green tea extract is also rich in vitamins B2, which supports maintaining collagen levels, and vitamin E, which promotes skin growth
Exhibiting several attributes in common with the ingredients above, cannabidiol (CBD) is a type of cannabinoid made up of active chemical compounds found naturally in hemp plants. CBD has been found to be a potent antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory compound, with the ability to hydrate and nourish skin by promoting and aiding moisture retention, regulating sebum (oil) production to help counteract acne, and fight free radicals thereby minimizing signs of ageing and soothing sensitized or irritated skin.
Although harvested from hemp which is a member of the cannabis plant family, the CBD used in our spray tan is organic and has been processed and refined to contain no trace of THC (the psychoactive element associated with cannabis)
